I was only walking by Sham Castle in Bath yesterday - always appreciate a folly and the often slightly obsessive/eccentric people who create them (or at least put in the order).
How funny that you were out enjoying a folly the other day! Oh, yes, there's a wonderful eccentricity to them. "I shall build a replica of a ruined castle/temple/stone circle/grotto complete with hermit etc etc etc!"
